Adamawa ven­dors lose chair­man in car crash

The chair­man of news­pa­per ven­dors in Adamawa State, Ab­dul­mu­mini Bello, died yes­ter­day in a car ac­ci­dent along the Mubi-Yola road af­ter his car col­lided with an­other ve­hi­cle. He was aged 55.

Jour­nal­ists and ven­dors who worked with him be­fore his death said he showed ex­em­plary lead­er­ship and had cor­dial re­la­tion­ship with col­leagues and the read­ing pub­lic. Dur­ing a con­do­lence visit yes­ter­day, the chair­man of the cor­re­spon­dents’ chapel of the Nige­rian Union of Jour­nal­ists in the state, Umar Dankano, de­scribed Ab­dul­mu­mini as a gen­tle­man and a hard work­ing of­fi­cial whose death would be a loss for news­pa­per circulation in the state. Ab­dul­mu­mini is sur­vived by four wives and 24 chil­dren among who is Ibrahim Ab­dul­mu­mini, a pri­mary school head mas­ter.
