Adamawa vendors lose chairman in car crash
The chairman of newspaper vendors in Adamawa State, Abdulmumini Bello, died yesterday in a car accident along the Mubi-Yola road after his car collided with another vehicle. He was aged 55.
Journalists and vendors who worked with him before his death said he showed exemplary leadership and had cordial relationship with colleagues and the reading public. During a condolence visit yesterday, the chairman of the correspondents’ chapel of the Nigerian Union of Journalists in the state, Umar Dankano, described Abdulmumini as a gentleman and a hard working official whose death would be a loss for newspaper circulation in the state. Abdulmumini is survived by four wives and 24 children among who is Ibrahim Abdulmumini, a primary school head master.
