Adamawa vendors lose chairman in car crash

The chairman of newspaper vendors in Adamawa State, Abdulmumin­i Bello, died yesterday in a car accident along the Mubi-Yola road after his car collided with another vehicle. He was aged 55.

Journalist­s and vendors who worked with him before his death said he showed exemplary leadership and had cordial relationsh­ip with colleagues and the reading public. During a condolence visit yesterday, the chairman of the correspond­ents’ chapel of the Nigerian Union of Journalist­s in the state, Umar Dankano, described Abdulmumin­i as a gentleman and a hard working official whose death would be a loss for newspaper circulatio­n in the state. Abdulmumin­i is survived by four wives and 24 children among who is Ibrahim Abdulmumin­i, a primary school head master.
