Kogi chair­men con­demn kid­nap­ping

Coun­cil chair­men in Kogi State cen­tral se­na­to­rial district have con­demned the in­creas­ing wave of kid­nap­ping in the area.

Af­ter a meet­ing in Okene, chaired by the Chair­man of Ajaokuta Lo­cal Govern­ment Area, Aloy­sius Okino, the group promised to work for peace.

Speak­ing to jour­nal­ists af­ter the meet­ing, the chair­man of Okene Lo­cal Govern­ment Area, Ahmed Ogembe, said they have re­solved to con­tinue to pro­vide lo­gis­tic sup­port to se­cu­rity agents to en­able them carry out their du­ties ef­fi­ciently, while call­ing on them to in­ten­sify ef­forts to res­cue the speaker’s chil­dren who were kid­napped about two weeks ago.
