North wel­comes Dan­gote’s new 3X ce­ment

The Dan­gote’s newly in­tro­duced and im­proved ce­ment, the 3X, was greeted with sat­is­fac­tion in the North­ern part of the coun­try, it can be re­ported.

Lis­ten­ers took turns to ex­press their ap­pre­ci­a­tion with the Dan­gote Ce­ment and its Group Pres­i­dent, Aliko Dan­gote, dur­ing a re­cent ra­dio phon­ing-in pro­grammes mon­i­tored in five north­ern states and Abuja. The states com­prised Sokoto, Katsina, Kano, Kaduna and Kogi.

The new ce­ment brand, 42.5R grade, is the high­est ce­ment qual­ity grade in the coun­try, mem­bers of the ra­dio dis­cus­sion panel said, dur­ing the ra­dio pro­grammes.

Call­ers in Rima Ra­dio, Ra­dio Nigeria Com­pan­ion FM and Ra­dio Kogi won­dered why the govern­ment will not com­pel other man­u­fac­tur­ers to em­u­late Dan­gote and stop the pro­duc­tion of the com­mon 32.5 graded ce­ment. But a Dan­gote Ce­ment sales rep­re­sen­ta­tive in Katsina State said that the com­pany was work­ing in line with the spec­i­fi­ca­tion of the Stan­dard Or­gan­i­sa­tion of Nigeria (SON) aimed at ad­dress­ing the men­ace of build­ing col­lapse. Al­haji Hamza Nafsa, who rep­re­sented block mak­ers as­so­ci­a­tion in Katsina State, said the ce­ment was well re­ceived by his mem­bers.
