North welcomes Dangote’s new 3X cement
The Dangote’s newly introduced and improved cement, the 3X, was greeted with satisfaction in the Northern part of the country, it can be reported.
Listeners took turns to express their appreciation with the Dangote Cement and its Group President, Aliko Dangote, during a recent radio phoning-in programmes monitored in five northern states and Abuja. The states comprised Sokoto, Katsina, Kano, Kaduna and Kogi.
The new cement brand, 42.5R grade, is the highest cement quality grade in the country, members of the radio discussion panel said, during the radio programmes.
Callers in Rima Radio, Radio Nigeria Companion FM and Radio Kogi wondered why the government will not compel other manufacturers to emulate Dangote and stop the production of the common 32.5 graded cement. But a Dangote Cement sales representative in Katsina State said that the company was working in line with the specification of the Standard Organisation of Nigeria (SON) aimed at addressing the menace of building collapse. Alhaji Hamza Nafsa, who represented block makers association in Katsina State, said the cement was well received by his members.
