Aresident of Pegni, an Abuja village, was on Tuesday, found dead inside a bathroom in a compound where he lived.

Residents of the locality in Kuje Area Council were thrown into confusion after the body of the man, identified as Mr. Stephen Ebuka, was found in the bathroom.

A resident of the community, Mr. Bulus Gambo, said the incident happened around 8:12 a.m.

He said it was one of the neighbours, who wanted to take his bath that saw the deceased lying inside the bathroom and raised alarm.

“It was the neighbour that was standing outside waiting for the deceased to finish so that he would enter the bathroom that saw his body. When the man waited for the deceased for about 20 minutes without coming out, he pushed the door opened and saw him lying inside the bathroom with tooth brush in his mouth,’’ he said.

According to him, the landlord of the house, who had gone to the farm, rushed back home to inform the police.

He said the police took the deceased to the hospital, where he was confirmed dead.
