Dogara appoints ex-Rep Ballah political adviser
The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, has appointed a former rep member, Ibrahim Umar Ballah, as his special adviser on Political and Inter-governmental affairs.
Ballah, who hails from Kumbotso local government of Kano State, was a member of the House of Representatives in the 6th Assembly from 2007-2011 when he represented Kumbotso Federal Constituency of Kano State.
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State, Alhaji Abdulmajid Dan Bilki Commander commended the Speaker appointing Ballah.
Commander said the people of Kano are appreciative of the Speaker for appointing Hon. Ballah who also belonged to President Buhari’s political family in Kano.
Group counsels traditional rulers over Saraki’s trial
for From Sikirat Shehu, Ilorin A group, Kwara Freedom Movement (KFM), has advised traditional rulers in Kwara State to stop commenting on the trial of Senate President Bukola Saraki at the Code of Conduct Tribunal.
The group gave the advice in a statement signed by its chairman, Dr Tijani Babalola.
Babalola said they were not happy with a section of traditional rulers in the state, who recently condemned Saraki’s trial before the tribunal.
They said as highly revered traditional fathers, the monarchs should always represent the true feelings and views of their subjects in all circumstances.”
