FRSC wor­ries over OloruJebba high­way

The Fed­eral Road Safety Com­mis­sion (FRSC) yesterday ex­pressed con­cern over what it de­scribed as de­te­ri­o­rat­ing con­di­tion of Oloru-BodeSaaduJebba high­way in Kwara State. The road links the South to the North.

Zonal Com­mand­ing Of­fi­cer of FRSC in charge of Kwara, Ek­iti and Kogi states, As­sis­tant Corp Mar­shal John Me­heux, said this in Ilorin, at an en­light­en­ment pro­gramme on ember months or­gan­ised by the Kwara com­mand of FRSC.

He said the Oloru-Jebba high­way has be­come a death trap for mo­torists.

“The Ilorin-OloruBode­saadu-Jebba high­way in Kwara is a death trap and is now a ma­jor source of con­cern to FRSC”, Me­heux said.

The FRSC Com­mand­ing Of­fi­cer called on the Fed­eral Road Main­te­nance Agency (FERMA) to car­ry­out re­pair work on the road to save in­no­cent lives, es­pe­cially dur­ing the ember months.
