FRSC worries over OloruJebba highway
The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) yesterday expressed concern over what it described as deteriorating condition of Oloru-BodeSaaduJebba highway in Kwara State. The road links the South to the North.
Zonal Commanding Officer of FRSC in charge of Kwara, Ekiti and Kogi states, Assistant Corp Marshal John Meheux, said this in Ilorin, at an enlightenment programme on ember months organised by the Kwara command of FRSC.
He said the Oloru-Jebba highway has become a death trap for motorists.
“The Ilorin-OloruBodesaadu-Jebba highway in Kwara is a death trap and is now a major source of concern to FRSC”, Meheux said.
The FRSC Commanding Officer called on the Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA) to carryout repair work on the road to save innocent lives, especially during the ember months.
