NEWS Katsina emirate sacks traditional ruler

The Katsina Emirate Council has sacked the village head of Wangarawa in Dutsin-ma District, Alhaji Gide Lawal over what it called gross indiscipline.

Also, the district head of Matazu, Abdullahi Muhammad, was suspended.

Secretary of the council and Sallaman Katsina, Bello M. Ifo, in a statement said the Emir of Katsina, Abdulmumin Kabir Usman, approved the actions.

He said the emir also approved the appointment of Salisu Maikano as the village head of Domawa in Dan-Musa
