Wike sacks LG chairmen

Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike yesterday dissolved the 22 local government caretaker committees in the state.

The statement issued in Port Harcourt by his Special Adviser on Media, Sir Opunabo Inko Tariah, said the dissolution is with immediate effect.

The statement urged the chairmen to handover to their council heads.

The caretaker committee chairmen were appointed three months ago.
