Mobil lauds Aniekeme, Commonwealth three gold heroine
For flying Nigeria’s flag high at the recent Commonwealth Youth Games in Samoa New Zealand, Mobil Producing Nigeria has lauded teenage track and field sensation, Aniekeme Alphonsus.
Winner of three gold medals, one silver and one bronze, the Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State born star was part of the Nigerian contingent that won the Athletics event at the highly competitive Games.

of remarked that Aniekeme’s journey to stardom started in 2010, when she dominated the championships in the sprints and anchored her school, Community Secondary School Ikot Abia Idem, to the 100 metres relay gold.
“In 2011 you emerged as the best athlete of the championship, but it was in 2013 when we instituted the first Holiday Camping and training programme that you shone like a thousand stars, attracting the attention of the national coaches that we had contracted to sharpen the skills of the champions of the competition,” Arinze noted.
