Non-governmental organisations, civil societies, well-meaning Nigerians among others, who are willing to contribute the Daily Trust IDPs Relief Funds, can still do so via the four account numbers opened by the organizers of the event. No amount is too small as we welcome more donations.

The four accounts are: First Bank, 2028620800; GTBank, 0175835101; Jaiz Bank, 0001706242; Union Bank, 0045259464. The account name in all the four banks is the same, which is “Daily Trust (IDP) Relief Fund.” The email for the fund is relieffund@dailytrust.com .

Meanwhile, the IDP Funds management board that will administer the fund is scheduled to hold its inaugural meeting on October 13 to devise guidelines of applying the funds.

The five-member board has two representatives of Media Trust Limited, a nominee of the highest donor and two representatives of nongovernmental organisations with experience with IDPs.

The interim Chairman of the board, who thanked all those who have donated to the fund, also called on those who are yet to redeem their pledges to do so as soon as possible, assuring that everything about the fund will be done transparently.
