Kogi commissioners debunk defection report

- From Itodo Daniel Sule, Lokoja

Forum of Commissioners and Special Advisers in Kogi State yesterday debunked media report that four commissioners and some advisers in the cabinet of Governor Idris Wada are planning to dump the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

A joint press briefing addressed in Lokoja by the State PDP Publicity Secretary, Bode Ogunmola, said the report carried in a national daily (not Daily Trust) of October 20, 2015 was a figment of the imagination of the writer.

“Members of the executive council are accomplished men and women who have actualised themselves in various spheres of life and they have remained loyal and committed to the efforts of His Excellency Capt Idris Wada in the transformation of the state.

“It will be recalled that the Forum of Commissioners and Special Advisers was in the forefront of calls for the governor to seek reelection for a second term and have continued to mobilise resources at different levels in support of the campaign for his re-election,” he said.
