FCT NURTW inaugurates new executives
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) branch of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), during the week inaugurated its newly elected executives who are to pilot the affairs of the union for the next four years.
Among the newly inaugurated executives were, Alhaji Isah Dahiru Usman (chairman), Alhaji Ibrahim Gaji (deputy vice chairman), Yusuf A. Alabi (vice chairman I), Alhaji Abdullahi Mazawaje (vice chairman II), Mohammed Abdullahi (vice chairman III), Felix I. Nwakwo (treasurer), Mohammed Sani (deputy treasurer) and Alhaji Bashir Bello (financial secretary).
Others include, Ashemolowo Ajibola (auditor), Alhaji Abdulsalam Ibrahim (deputy auditor), Alhaji Gambo Babale (trustee), Dauda Abdulkadir (trustee II), Alhaji Isah Usman Pai (trustee III), Asaa Atime (assistant secretary administration) and Junaidu Abubakar (assistant organizing secretary).
In his acceptance speech, the chairman expressed appreciation for the honour done to him by members of the union’s delegates by re-electing him and other executives to pilot the affairs of the union for another four years.
He assured that the executives would embark on programmes that would improve the union’s image, saying it would ensure that members of the union always conduct themselves in a peaceful manner especially in the course of discharging their duties.
Also speaking, the FCT sector commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Sunday Oghenekaro, congratulated the newly inaugurated executives of the NURTW, and charging them to carry out their duties with the fear of God.
