FCT NURTW in­au­gu­rates new ex­ec­u­tives

The Fed­eral Cap­i­tal Ter­ri­tory (FCT) branch of the Na­tional Union of Road Trans­port Work­ers (NURTW), dur­ing the week in­au­gu­rated its newly elected ex­ec­u­tives who are to pi­lot the af­fairs of the union for the next four years.

Among the newly in­au­gu­rated ex­ec­u­tives were, Al­haji Isah Dahiru Us­man (chair­man), Al­haji Ibrahim Gaji (deputy vice chair­man), Yusuf A. Alabi (vice chair­man I), Al­haji Ab­dul­lahi Maza­waje (vice chair­man II), Mo­hammed Ab­dul­lahi (vice chair­man III), Felix I. Nwakwo (trea­surer), Mo­hammed Sani (deputy trea­surer) and Al­haji Bashir Bello (financial sec­re­tary).

Oth­ers in­clude, Ashe­molowo Aji­bola (au­di­tor), Al­haji Ab­dul­salam Ibrahim (deputy au­di­tor), Al­haji Gambo Ba­bale (trustee), Dauda Ab­dulka­dir (trustee II), Al­haji Isah Us­man Pai (trustee III), Asaa Atime (as­sis­tant sec­re­tary ad­min­is­tra­tion) and Ju­naidu Abubakar (as­sis­tant or­ga­niz­ing sec­re­tary).

In his ac­cep­tance speech, the chair­man ex­pressed ap­pre­ci­a­tion for the hon­our done to him by mem­bers of the union’s del­e­gates by re-elect­ing him and other ex­ec­u­tives to pi­lot the af­fairs of the union for an­other four years.

He as­sured that the ex­ec­u­tives would em­bark on pro­grammes that would im­prove the union’s im­age, say­ing it would en­sure that mem­bers of the union al­ways con­duct them­selves in a peace­ful man­ner es­pe­cially in the course of dis­charg­ing their du­ties.

Also speak­ing, the FCT sec­tor com­man­der of the Fed­eral Road Safety Com­mis­sion (FRSC), Sun­day Oghenekaro, con­grat­u­lated the newly in­au­gu­rated ex­ec­u­tives of the NURTW, and charg­ing them to carry out their du­ties with the fear of God.
