Adamawa assembly queries N9.2bn bailout funds
The Adamawa State House of Assembly has asked the executive to give account of N9.2 billion bailout funds disbursed to workers.
The house passed the resolution at its plenary session yesterday, following a motion moved by the member representing Mubi South, Abdurrahman Abubakar, who pointed the need for government to give details of the disbursement.
While seconding the motion, the member representing Hong Constituency, Hassan Burguma, stressed the need for the lawmakers to ensure checks and balances in financial transactions government.
The Speaker, Kabiru Mijinyawa, directed the clerk of the house to communicate the resolution to the executive to appear before the house.
