Navy re-strategizes against oil theft

The Nigerian Navy said yesterday that it has adopted a new training strategy that would improve troops proficiency in internal security operations in the country.

Flag Officer Commanding (FOC), Naval Training Command (NAVTRAC), Rear Adm. Adeniyi Osinowo, stated this while on familiarization tour of Navy training schools in Onne, Rivers State.

He said adoption of a new code of conduct in its training programmes was borne out of Navy`s commitment to drastically reduce oil theft and sea piracy in the nation’s maritime environment.
