Kpakor, Ortom, Orkuma, Adekwagh bag NAPHER award

Former Super Eagles midfielder Moses Kpakor, Etoile du Sahel of Tunisia midfielder Moses Orkuma and FIFA U-20 fastest goal record holder Soo Adekwagh have been picked for honours by the Benue State University chapter of the National Associatio­n of Physical and Health Education Recreation Sport and Dance (NAPHER).

Also listed for the awards are Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State, ex-internatio­nal Mike Idoko, Nasarawa State Deputy Governor Silas Agara and NSC Director General Alhassan Yakmut, among others for their contributi­ons to sports, education and health sectors.

The award ceremony, according to the chairman central planning committee Mr. Harry Yachi, will hold on the 17th December, 2015 at the Auditorium College of Health Sciences Benue State University, Makurdi.

While Moses Kpakor will be honoured as NAPHERSD Legend of all times, Moses Orkuma is to be honoured as NAPHER-SD Sport Man of the Year AND Soo Adekwagh of GBK FC is to be honoured as Sport Woman of the Year.

The National Sports Commission (NSC) DG Alhassan Yakmut will be honoured as the Sport Administra­tor of the year, while Prof. Jonathan Uever, Prof. Elizabeth Anejoh, Prof. Targema Iorvaa, Prof. Danladi Musa are also to be honoured for their contributi­ons to Human Kinetics and Health education department.
