FG offered Madu N500m to scuttle Biafra agitation, Uwazuruike alleges
Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), now reorganized as Biafra Independent Movement (BIM) under Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, has alleged that the Federal Government has offered the sum of N500 million to the faction led by Uchenna Madu to scuttle the struggle for Biafra.
Uwazuruike who made the allegation through the organization’s director of information, Comrade Sunday Okereafor, said Madu was offered the money to abort the Biafra protests that have rocked many parts of mostly the Southeast in recent times.
“We have it from a very reliable source that Uchenna was given N500m by the Federal Government through some politicians,” Nwazuruike said, asking Madu to stop “using the name of MASSOB to defraud individuals and organisations.”
Reacting to the allegation through the National Secretary of MASSOB, Comrade Igwoke Ibem Igwoke, Madu challenged Uwazuruike to make his evidence public or face the consequence of his allegations.
Madu said; “We are aware of the antics of Uwazuruike, but all we are after now is the release of Nnamdi Kanu.”
He accused Uwazuruike of enriching himself through MASSOB dues and vowed that the new Biafra Independent Movement (BIM) leader would account for all the funds he “mismanaged.”
