Firm to attract ‘Diaspora’s’ to Nigerian Schools

-

An educational firm, Brand Edge Ltd, is planning to organize its second educational fair towards attracting young Nigerians in diaspora to attend top-rated secondary schools in the country.

The Chief Executive Officer of Brand Edge Ltd, Femi Akinwunmi who addressed journalists in Lagos said it is meant to offer an easier platform for some “parents in UK who want to send their children to Nigeria during those formative years (secondary school years) due to the legal implications in the UK of impeding African values.”

Akinwunmi also explained that the event which is slated for July at the University Square Stratford, London, has been packaged in a way to boost Nigeria educational tourism potential while also ensuring that the diaspora youth are reoriented and reconnected to their roots and values.

“It is our job to bring to their notice top Nigerian secondary schools which have over the years invested in human resources from around the world to create an inclusive model of extra-ordinary high standard blended with great value to mould children into young adults,” Akinwunmi said.

The exhibition he said is targeted at bringing in 1000 Nigerian youth from the UK and USA which will inject an about N3billion into the economy from fees and the living expenses including Value Added Tax ( VAT).
