- By Isiaka Wakili

President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered an investigation into the recent killings of some Nigerians abroad.

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, disclosed this late Sunday.

She said on the Channels Television News at 10pm which was monitored by our reporter that President Buhari had instructed that the investigation be carried out to ensure that justice is done.

She spoke against the backdrop of the recent killing of a Nigerian, Emmanuel Chidi Nnamdi, in Italy barely a few days after another Nigerian, Fola Orabiyi, a teenager, was stabbed to death in the United Kingdom.

According to her, the president will not condone the killing of Nigerians anywhere in the world.

“This (killing of Nigerians abroad) will not be tolerated by this administration,” she said. DabiriErewa had earlier in a statement said the murder of innocent Nigerians abroad was disturbing the people and government of Nigeria.

She reiterated President Buhari’s commitment to citizen diplomacy and protection of Nigerians wherever they may be.
