Ahmed lauds Ig­bom­ina mo­bile clinic ini­tia­tive

Gover­nor Ab­dul­fa­tah Ahmed of Kwara State has praised the ini­tia­tives of the Ig­bom­ina Com­mu­nity in health­care de­liv­ery.

Speak­ing at the flagoff of the Ig­bom­ina Mo­bile Clinic in Ajassepo, Kwara State, Ahmed said the ini­tia­tive was com­ple­men­tary to great strides of his gov­ern­ment in the health sec­tor.

The gover­nor’s rep­re­sen­ta­tive and Hon­ourable Com­mis­sioner for Health, Al­haji Ato­lagbe Alege, pre­sented the state gov­ern­ment’s do­na­tion of N500, 000 cash and var­i­ous drugs and malaria nets to sup­port the project.

The kwara State Hos­pi­tals Man­age­ment Bureau also do­nated drugs for the Ig­bom­ina project which fo­cuses on silent kil­ler dis­eases like hy­per­ten­sion, di­a­bet­ics and malaria.

In his wel­come ad­dress, the project im­ple­men­ta­tion com­mit­tee chair­man, Mr. Em­manuel Adewuyi, said a ros­ter had been pre­pared for the mo­bile clinic to cover ev­ery nook and cranny of Ig­bom­i­na­land.

Royal fa­thers, top gov­ern­ment of­fi­cials and com­mu­nity lead­ers wit­nessed the event at the sprawl­ing Olupo’s palace spon­sored by the Ig­bom­ina Com­mu­nity, North Amer­i­can Foun­da­tion.
