Police arrest suspect with dead son’s head
The Police in Bauchi State have arrested a suspect with the severed head of his son.
The police command’s spokesperson, SP Haruna Mohammed, said in a statement yesterday that the suspect, Maikudi Mohammed of Galambi village, was arrested by Police detectives in Misau town with the suspected human head wrapped in a cloth.
The Police PRO said preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect conspired with his accomplice, Damina Mohammed, who is also from Galambi village, with whom he went to the grave yard in Galambi and removed the head of the corpse to sell to their customer who is now at large.
The police spokesperson said the principal suspect had confessed that the child was his son who died and was buried but that he later went back to the graveyard at night with his accomplice, exhumed the corpse and severed the head.
