Po­lice ar­rest sus­pect with dead son’s head

The Po­lice in Bauchi State have ar­rested a sus­pect with the sev­ered head of his son.

The po­lice com­mand’s spokesper­son, SP Haruna Mo­hammed, said in a state­ment yes­ter­day that the sus­pect, Maikudi Mo­hammed of Galambi vil­lage, was ar­rested by Po­lice de­tec­tives in Misau town with the sus­pected hu­man head wrapped in a cloth.

The Po­lice PRO said pre­lim­i­nary in­ves­ti­ga­tion re­vealed that the sus­pect con­spired with his ac­com­plice, Dam­ina Mo­hammed, who is also from Galambi vil­lage, with whom he went to the grave yard in Galambi and re­moved the head of the corpse to sell to their cus­tomer who is now at large.

The po­lice spokesper­son said the prin­ci­pal sus­pect had con­fessed that the child was his son who died and was buried but that he later went back to the grave­yard at night with his ac­com­plice, ex­humed the corpse and sev­ered the head.
