FG seeks WHO support on health delivery
The Ministry of Health has called on the World Health Organization (WHO) to collaborate with it to provide quality health care for Nigerians.
Minister of Health, Professor Isaac Adewole, made the call yesterday when the World Health Organisation (WHO) Regional Director for Africa, Dr Matshidiso Moeti, visited him in Abuja. Moeti is on a threeday visit to the country.
The minister said Nigeria’s health system was beset with challenges and burdened by infectious and parasitic diseases, adding that the country had made limited progress in service delivery in the past decades.
