Reps meet US envoy, others over sex scandal Thursday
The House of Representatives Committee on Ethics and Privileges will Thursday meet the outgoing US Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr James Entwistle, over the allegations levelled against three members of the House.
The committee will also meet the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyema as well as representatives of Committee for the Defence of Human Rights (CDHR) and National Human Rights Commission.
Entwistle had last month written a letter to Speaker Yakubu Dogara informing him that Rep Mohammed Garba Gololo (APC, Bauchi) “grabbed” a female hotel staff, while Reps Mark Gbillah (APC, Benue) and Samuel Ikon (PDP, A/Ibom) solicited for sex through car park attendants during a leadership programme in Cleveland, Ohio, US in April.
