The Nigerian Army has provided free medical screening and treatment to over 1,250 people in Nzam community in Anambra West Local Government Area of Anambra State.

The Nigerian Army medical team from Onitsha Military Cantonment Medical Reception Station (MRS) carried out the exercise in commemoration of this year’s Army Day.

The officer in charge of MRS, Captain Casmir Okpe, said the free medical outreach was to foster cordial relationship between the army and other citizenry, adding that the team also offered medical counseling and general health awareness.

The traditional ruler of Nzam community, Igwe John Ogugua and the PresidentGeneral Nzam Development Union, Prince Uche Okolo, thanked the Nigerian Army for extending the kind gesture to their community.
