Ow­erri FMC re­opens out­reach cen­tre

The Fed­eral Med­i­cal Cen­tre, Ow­erri, Imo State has re­opened its out­reach cen­tre at Izombe in Oguta Lo­cal Gov­ern­ment Area with as­sur­ance to of­fer ad­e­quate med­i­cal ser­vice to the cit­i­zens of the com­mu­ni­ties.

The med­i­cal direc­tor and head, In­terim man­age­ment com­mit­tee, Prof Ndu Eke, said the hos­pi­tal was re­opened be­cause of its im­por­tance to the health needs of the peo­ple in the ru­ral ar­eas, He said it was ear­lier shut down be­cause of in­se­cu­rity.

While ap­peal­ing to the peo­ple to take the place as their own, the MD as­suredthem that all nec­es­sary fa­cil­i­ties would be put in place to meet up with their health chal­lenges.
