APC members urged to be patient with FCT council bosses
The chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the FCT, Alhaji Usman Abdulmalik, has appealed to both members and supporters of the party to be patient with the five area councils chairmen, saying everybody will soon feel the impact of democracy.
Addressing the state party executives at his Shafa-Abakpa residence on Friday, he also urged them to be patient with President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration, saying the hardship being experienced will become history in no distance time.
He said the APC administration has made serious efforts to tackle most of the challenges that have been facing the country, especially in the area of security and corruption, adding that efforts are on to revamp the country’s economy.
“It is unfortunate what the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari came and met on ground. It was also the same thing that our new council chairmen came and inherited. But despite the challenges of lack of funds, they have to settle backlog of salaries and arrears of workers owed by the past chairmen, “has said.
