AUN raises Nige­rian stu­dents’ schol­ar­ship slots to 67

The Amer­i­can Univer­sity of Nige­ria, Yola, has raised the slots for Nige­rian stu­dents schol­ar­ship awards across the fed­er­a­tion to 67 for the 2016/2017 aca­demic ses­sion.

A state­ment from the univer­sity signed by the Ex­ec­u­tive Di­rec­tor Com­mu­ni­ca­tion and Pub­lic Re­la­tions, Mr. Daniel Ok­ereke, noted that the in­crease was a re­flec­tion of the in­crease in the num­ber of en­rol­ments into the in­sti­tu­tion fol­low­ing the end of in­sur­gence.

The schol­ar­ship ex­am­i­na­tion for stu­dents slated for Satur­day, July 30, 2016, ac­cord­ing to the state­ment, will be held in Abuja, Port Har­court, Kaduna, Ibadan, Enugu and Yola. Ok­ereke noted that 30 schol­ar­ships would be awarded to five can­di­dates from each of the six geopo­lit­i­cal re­gions of the coun­try un­der the univer­sity’s re­gional schol­ar­ships pro­gram.
