Unity Bank part­ners foun­da­tion on fer­til­ity aware­ness

As part of key strate­gic in­ter­ven­tions and col­lab­o­ra­tive ini­tia­tives to demon­strate its cor­po­rate so­cial re­spon­si­bil­ity, the Unity Bank Plc is part­ner­ing Beibei Haven Foun­da­tion, a non-gov­ern­men­tal or­gan­i­sa­tion to or­gan­ise a ‘Fer­til­ity Walk’ to raise aware­ness and fund to as­sist fam­i­lies with fer­til­ity chal­lenges.

The tar­get of this cam­paign was to as­sist no less than 20 cou­ples gain ac­cess to treatment.

The Ex­ec­u­tive Di­rec­tor, Sec­re­tariat and Ser­vice, Unity Bank Plc, Mrs. Aisha Azumi Abraham, said that the bank would join forces with the Beibei Haven Foun­da­tion and other ad­vo­cacy groups to ad­dress fer­til­ity chal­lenges in the so­ci­ety. She stated: “Un­der­go­ing fer­til­ity treatment such as IVF can pro­vide so­lu­tion to a lot of cou­ples’ fer­til­ity chal­lenges but th­ese treat­ments are ex­pen­sive for many. But, at Unity Bank Plc, we strongly be­lieve that there is hope for cou­ples whose pri­mary bar­rier to fer­til­ity is cost.”

The founder of the Beibei Haven Foun­da­tion, Mrs. Omo­tade Alalade, thanked Unity Bank Plc for sup­port­ing the Fer­til­ity Walk and iden­ti­fy­ing with the cause of the Foun­da­tion whose pri­mary aim was to bring suc­cour to the cou­ples grap­pling with is­sues of in­fer­til­ity in the so­ci­ety.
