Unity Bank partners foundation on fertility awareness

As part of key strategic interventi­ons and collaborat­ive initiative­s to demonstrat­e its corporate social responsibi­lity, the Unity Bank Plc is partnering Beibei Haven Foundation, a non-government­al organisati­on to organise a ‘Fertility Walk’ to raise awareness and fund to assist families with fertility challenges.

The target of this campaign was to assist no less than 20 couples gain access to treatment.

The Executive Director, Secretaria­t and Service, Unity Bank Plc, Mrs. Aisha Azumi Abraham, said that the bank would join forces with the Beibei Haven Foundation and other advocacy groups to address fertility challenges in the society. She stated: “Undergoing fertility treatment such as IVF can provide solution to a lot of couples’ fertility challenges but these treatments are expensive for many. But, at Unity Bank Plc, we strongly believe that there is hope for couples whose primary barrier to fertility is cost.”

The founder of the Beibei Haven Foundation, Mrs. Omotade Alalade, thanked Unity Bank Plc for supporting the Fertility Walk and identifyin­g with the cause of the Foundation whose primary aim was to bring succour to the couples grappling with issues of infertilit­y in the society.
