NAF commission­s housing projects in Kaduna

As part of efforts towards uplifting and upgrading the various facilities in the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) operationa­l units, the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar has commission­ed some projects at the NAF base in Kaduna.

The projects commission­ed include: The Air Warrant Officers’ house, two blocks of 3 Bedroom Duplexes at Happier Valley, a road network of about six roads and Air Marshal Sadique B. Abubakar garden.

Speaking at the commission­ing, the Air boss said that the commission­ed projects would add to the comfort and welfare of air personnel as a conducive working environmen­t improve productivi­ty.

He said, “The need to reposition this base therefore becomes more evident considerin­g the role it plays in the welfare of NAF personnel serving in and outside Kaduna, especially in terms of accommodat­ion.

“Accordingl­y, we have embarked on projects to put in place the necessary infrastruc­ture that would enable personnel function optimally.”

He expressed delight over the completion of the projects, which he said was done through direct labour and had saved NAF resources as well as improved the technical capacity of its personnel.
