PDP stalwart, others defect to APC in Kogi
A former organising secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi State, Mr Peter Salihu, weekend, defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) alongside his supporters.
Speaking at the defection ceremony in Abejukolo, headquarters of Omala Local Government Council, Salihu said that he and his supporters decided to embrace the APC because of the “selfless leadership qualities” of Governor Yahaya Bello.
“As a long standing politician, who understands the tricks of politics in the state, I have decided to shift grounds by joining APC after critical analysis of the political terrain of the state, knowing full well that it’s either you are in APC or you are out,” he said.
Special adviser to the Kogi State governor on special duties, Mr Akor Adadu, who was present at the occasion, thanked the people for supporting governor Bello.
