MDG spends N1.2b on 36 classrooms, 20 health clinics
The Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) has spent N1.8 billion on construction of 36 classrooms and 20 primary health care centres (PHCs) in the rural areas of Plateau State.
The MDGs Plateau State Coordinator, Hon. Samuel Damala, told newsmen in Jos yesterday that the work by the contractors was good, and disclosed that the MDGs constructed about 36 classrooms, 20 PHCs, 17 boreholes and nine VIP toilets from January to June, 2016.
He put the project cost at N1.8 billion, to which he said local governments contributed 20%, while the state government contributed 30% and federal government 50%.
He said the project was done in six local government areas, namely Jos North, Barkin Ladi, Mangu, Kanke, Shandam and Wase.
