MACBAN condemns Bokkos murder

The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) has condemned the murder of the paramount ruler of the Ron people of Bokkos LGA in Plateau State, Saf Ronkurene, Lazarus Agai.

The association in a statement in Abuja yesterday signed by its Secretary Alhaji Baba Othman Ngelzarma, expressed sadness over the act, saying that there was mutual respect and understanding between MACBAN and the people of Bokkos throughout the reign of the late paramount ruler.

“Our association found it expedient to join millions of Plateau indigenes and other Nigerians to express our deepest sympathy with the government and people of Plateau State, in particular the good people of Bokkos LGA and the immediate family of the late paramount ruler on this unfortunate incident”, MACBAN said.

MACBAN said that it regretted the attempt by some sections of the media to apportion blame on its members for the act, even before investigation on the matter, and appealed to the relevant security agencies to fish out the murderers and bring them to Justice.
