Kid­napped In­di­ans, monarch re­leased in Benue

Two In­di­ans who were kid­napped from Dan­gote Ce­ment fac­tory in Gboko lo­cal gov­ern­ment area of Benue state have re­gained their free­dom af­ter 17 days in cap­tiv­ity.

Also, a tra­di­tional ruler, Chief Tsegba Gbor Baja, who was ab­ducted on July 9 from his home at Adekaa in Gboko, has been re­leased by his kid­nap­pers.

Daily Trust re­ports that the for­eign­ers were ab­ducted by some gun­men on June 29, while Chief Baja, an oc­to­ge­nar­ian who is the father of a top politi­cian, Terngu Tsegba, was whisked away with­out his drugs.

Po­lice spokesman, ASP Moses Yamu said yes­ter­day in Makurdi that the kid­napped per­sons were re­leased due to the heat on their ab­duc­tors fol­low­ing the ar­rest of some key play­ers in the kid­nap­ping ring.
