Plateau, China sign 6 MoUs

The Plateau State Gov­ern­ment has signed six agree­ments with China’s Na­tional One Belt One Road Fund Man­age­ment Co., Ltd.

This fol­lowed Pres­i­dent Muham­madu Buhari and Gov­er­nor Si­mon Bako La­long’s visit to China ear­lier this year.

The first agree­ment is on co­op­er­a­tion be­tween the Plateau State and the com­pany while others are on Tourism, Ed­u­ca­tion, Wa­ter Re­sources and En­ergy, Agri­cul­ture and Ur­ban de­vel­op­ment.

Nige­ria’s am­bas­sador to China, Olu­sola Onadipe, wit­nessed the sign­ing of the agree­ments.

The Chair­man, Plateau In­vest­ment and Prop­erty De­vel­op­ment Com­pany (PIPC), Ezekiel Go­mos said the State gov­ern­ment was tar­get­ing 7,500 hous­ing units in the area of ur­ban de­vel­op­ment with a pro­posed hous­ing unit of 4,500 in the north­ern sen­a­to­rial zone and 1,500 in each of the cen­tral and south­ern zones of the state.
