Group to monitor S/East’s support for Buhari
A Group, the Eastern Surveillance Network (ESUN), has said that it would continue to monitor how states in the East cooperate with the APCled federal government in the areas of security, economy and political stability.
A statement issued by the national coordinator of the group, Dr Haroun O. Ajah, and secretary, Hajiya Zainab N. Ukandu, said that as a dynamic political group, which is dedicated to providing sound strategic political advice, the ESUN would remain interested in how the South-east join forces with president Buhari to redeem the pledge he made to Nigerians.
The statement said that the objectives of ESUN included, but not limited to, monitoring and evaluation of Buhari’s policies, programmes, projects and their implementation by the Eastern states.
It said that the ESUN was also interested in monitoring individual, collective and corporate political behaviours of the Easterners with a view to helping the APC-controlled federal government.
