Nigeria deports 3 Koreans

The Federal Government has deported three Koreans namely; Lee Yoo Song, Lee Byeung Woo and Moon Een Soo for immigratio­n related offences.

A statement from the Nigeria Immigratio­n Service (NIS) Public Relations Officer, Deputy Comptropll­er of Immigratio­n King Ekpedeme yesterday said the trio were sent packing on July 20, 2016.

He said the Minister of Interior, Abdulraham­an Dambuzau, in exercising the powers conferred on him by Sections 45(2) and (3) and 44( 1e) of the Immigratio­n Act 2015, signed the Deportatio­n Order.

The three Koreans will not be eligible to enter Nigeria again through in the next 10 years.

Ekpedeme cautioned all expatriate­s and their employers in Nigeria to respect the laws of the country as the Service is determined to implement all aspects of immigratio­n laws in public interest. He however assured expatriate­s resident in Nigeria with correct documentat­ion of the protection of their rights and dignity.
