Nige­ria de­ports 3 Kore­ans

The Fed­eral Gov­ern­ment has de­ported three Kore­ans namely; Lee Yoo Song, Lee Bye­ung Woo and Moon Een Soo for immigration re­lated of­fences.

A state­ment from the Nige­ria Immigration Ser­vice (NIS) Pub­lic Re­la­tions Of­fi­cer, Deputy Comptro­pller of Immigration King Ek­pedeme yes­ter­day said the trio were sent pack­ing on July 20, 2016.

He said the Min­is­ter of In­te­rior, Ab­dul­ra­haman Dam­buzau, in ex­er­cis­ing the pow­ers con­ferred on him by Sec­tions 45(2) and (3) and 44( 1e) of the Immigration Act 2015, signed the De­por­ta­tion Or­der.

The three Kore­ans will not be el­i­gi­ble to en­ter Nige­ria again through in the next 10 years.

Ek­pedeme cau­tioned all ex­pa­tri­ates and their em­ploy­ers in Nige­ria to re­spect the laws of the coun­try as the Ser­vice is de­ter­mined to im­ple­ment all as­pects of immigration laws in pub­lic in­ter­est. He how­ever as­sured ex­pa­tri­ates res­i­dent in Nige­ria with cor­rect doc­u­men­ta­tion of the pro­tec­tion of their rights and dig­nity.
