No Hajj stam­pede any­more, Ek­iti tells 206 in­tend­ing pil­grims

The Ek­iti State Mus­lim Pil­grims Wel­fare Board has screened 206 in­tend­ing pil­grims in prepa­ra­tion for the 2016 Hajj, as­sur­ing that there will be no re­peat of the stam­pede that some pil­grims be­came vic­tim of last year.

Speak­ing dur­ing the ex­er­cise, the Chair­man of the board, Al­haji Latif

Ag­baje, said the Saudi Au­thor­ity had taken im­proved se­cu­rity mea­sures to guar­an­tee safety of lives and prop­erty of pil­grims.

Ag­baje stressed that he was sure there would be no un­to­ward in­ci­dent dur­ing this year’s Hajj.
