No Hajj stampede anymore, Ekiti tells 206 intending pilgrims
The Ekiti State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has screened 206 intending pilgrims in preparation for the 2016 Hajj, assuring that there will be no repeat of the stampede that some pilgrims became victim of last year.
Speaking during the exercise, the Chairman of the board, Alhaji Latif
Agbaje, said the Saudi Authority had taken improved security measures to guarantee safety of lives and property of pilgrims.
Agbaje stressed that he was sure there would be no untoward incident during this year’s Hajj.
