Al-Habibiyyah can­vasses help for needy

As part of its ob­jec­tives and ef­forts at re­dis­tribut­ing wealth to help the needy, the Al-Habibiyyah Zakat Foun­da­tion of the Al-Habibiyah Is­lamic So­ci­ety of Nige­ria has spent over N30 mil­lion as cash dis­burse­ments and other valu­ables to in­di­gents in Abuja and en­vi­rons.

The Chair­man of the Build­ing Com­mit­tee and Food Bank of the so­ci­ety, Al­haji Farouk Suleiman, said this yes­ter­day in Abuja at the foun­da­tion’s 9th Zakat dis­burse­ment.

He also charged the wealthy to match words with ac­tion and help the needy.

Seventy-nine ben­e­fi­cia­ries were given cash and other items to the tune of N5.5m.

Di­rec­tor and Imam of the so­ci­ety, Sheik Fuad Adeyemi, told Daily Trust that the fund be­ing dis­bursed was given in trust to the foun­da­tion by peo­ple and ben­e­fi­cia­ries need not lobby to ben­e­fit.
