- By Saawua Terzungwe

A former minister of education, Professor Tunde Adeniran, has joined the race for the national chairmanship of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), saying that he will reclaim the party’s national glory.

He urged the delegates for the Port Harcourt scheduled convention to entrust him with the responsibility of leading the party.

Adeniran, who spoke through his media aide, Yemi Akinbode, said that the task ahead of the PDP and Nigeria required “fortitude and experience to help the party achieve its objectives.”

He said that as a founding member of the PDP who has served in its various frontline capacities, if elected as chairman, he would deploy his wealth of experience in serving the party and the country.
