Why we formed APC Akida in Kaduna — Ashiru
Tendency to derail from the change agenda of President Muhammadu Buhari was the reason for formation of the Akida group within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State, a governorship aspirant of the party, Isa Ashiru Kudan, has said.
In a statement he issued, yesterday, Kudan said that APC Akida group was committedt to the ideals of socio-economic change exemplified and championed by Buhari.
“APC Akida group in Kaduna State remains solidly behind the administration of President Buhari and determined to bring about meaningful and enduring change with a human face in Kaduna state,” the statement said.
It, therefore, called on people to be optimistic in the ability of the APC-led government to bring positive change, saying that “the current challenges faced by Nigeria are a sign of good things to come.”
While felicitating with the people on the Eid elKabir celebrations, it urged them to continue to make sacrifice for the country as “the present socioeconomic downturn in Nigeria is like the trial of Prophet Ibrahim (AS), who was commanded by Allah to sacrifice his only son, Prophet Ismail in a rare display of total submission to the will of Allah, following which Ibrahim (AS) became one of the most celebrated men in the Holy Qura’an.”
The statement called on Nigerians to reflect on the significance of the celebration of Eid el-Kabir assuring that with their sacrifices and commitment, peace and progress were in the offing.
