Adamawa SSG chides commissioners bypassing him to governor
The Secretary to Adamawa State Government (SSG), Dr Umar Bindir, has criticized some commissioners for allegedly bypassing him and taking files directly to the governor.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the executive retreat organised for members of the state executive council held in Yola yesterday, Bindir lamented lack of synergy between some commissioners and their permanent secretaries.
The SSG warned commissioners against sidelining permanent secretaries, saying such attitude amounted to violation of due process.
He emphasised the need for due process and respect to promote good governance in the state.
The state Deputy Governor, Martins Babale, reiterated the commitment of the administration to improving the capacity of government officials for quality service delivery.
In their remarks, the Chief Judge, Justice Ishaya Banu and the Emir of Mubi, Alhaji Abubakar Ahmadu, commended the organisers of the retreat and urged the beneficiaries to take advantage of the programme to improve themselves.
