Iyorhe confident Lobi will bounce back against Pillars

- By David Ngobua

Lobi Stars striker, Luter Iyorhe is unperturbed by his side’s 0-2 loss to Shooting Stars of Ibadan as he expressed confidence that they will bounce back against Pillars on Wednesday.

Unlike last season when Lobi Stars stunned 3SC 1-0 in their opening match at the same venue, the Benue State team failed to live up to expectations this time around in their opening match.

However, the former Sharks and FC Taraba FC striker is sure that Lobi Stars will pick their first three points when they host the former champions tomorrow at the Aper Aku stadium.

Last season, Pillars almost ran away with the maximum points until Lobi Stars talented midfielder, Raphael Ayagwa stepped forward to score a stunning freekick to level scores for his team.

Iyorhe, therefore, assured the team’s teeming fans that they won’t be disappointed when Lobi entertain Pillars again on Wednesday.

“It was painful losing the opening match of the season. We worked hard to earn a decent result against 3SC but things did not go our way.

“It’s one of these things in football so we are not going to keep crying our spilled milk. That is now history and so we have to move on.

“We are going to host Pillars on Wednesday and it will be a tough one but we are condemned to win. We won’t settle for anything less than the three points.

“If we fail to win, that will spell doom for us so we do not need anybody to tell us what to do. We shall give everything to win,” he said.
