A new fashion house and hairdressing saloon commissioned last Monday in Jos, Plateau State has employed 55 youth including fashion designers, hair and body beauticians, and sales persons.
The fashion and beauty parlour, ‘Lima Fashion and Saloon’ was established by rising entrepreneur, Hannatu Cheto. The place has sections comprising a fashion space that displays African wears, bridal accessories, shoes; a beauty parlour with hair beauticians, make-up artists, and beauty services including henna.
It also has a factory within Jos town that designs cloths for client tastes and intends to partner with online malls to have wider outreach for its products.
The Chief Host, Engineer Jimmy Cheto, at the commissioning said: “People can make their orders from here (the store), and within a short time, get their clothes ready. We have a section where the fitting can take place and readjustment can be made.”
He said Lima will partner with other young entrepreneurs especially those who are into healthy life changing products such as fruit and vegetable smoothies, beverages and snacks by providing a sales platform for them.
The Managing Director, Hannatu Cheto said the Lima is about the best in the town in terms of pricing adding that the concept was to encourage Nigerians to look inwards for their fashion sense as well as encourage other young entrepreneurs in the State.
The Plateau State Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Ezekiel Daju, and his counterpart for Water and Energy, and Engr. David Wuyep who commissioned the store both expressed their delight at the number of employment the store has generated so far. They urged citizens to embrace entrepreneurship ventures by starting in a moest way.
