Phrases I aspire to own a drive-in clothing shop, says starter, Tosin

@SimonEchew­ofun Twenty seven year old Adedoja Tosin has said his aspiration is to have a drive-in clothing shop that goes beyond his present online platform.

In an interview with the Daily Trust YOUTHVILLE in Abuja, Tosin who holds a degree in Linguistic­s said ‘TROL CLOTHIERS’ started as an online retail platform supplying men’s wears.

He said: “The brand is TROL CLOTHIERS and I started it in 2014 just after the 6-month ASUU strike that ended a month before. I am currently working on my website, though it’s 60 percent complete.”

Speaking on his expansion plans, he said: “I’m working on owning a drive-in shop that will move the business from being solely an online market as well as setting up charity funded from our gains and growth.” Last week, we gave you a list of some English phrases and their correct usage. Usually, the word ‘very’ is used with another adjective to describe how deep a situation or feeling is. But the reason why it cannot be used with another adjective in a sentence is because it doesn’t convey the right feeling or depth of a sentence. The entreprene­ur said he is dealing with some challenges that include issues of trust. “Most of my customers are total strangers but overtime I’ve had sizeable feedback and testimonie­s which I post regularly, and that has helped manage the trust issues favourably,” he explained.

Sourcing for funds for expansion have been quite hard for him too, but he believes he could overcome this with time.

On how the business is faring, Tosin said: “Because of recession, purchasing power has reduced. However significan­t attention has turned recently to ‘Made in Nigeria’ goods and we have keyed in, but still ensuring we meet the demands of customers who have crave for foreign goods.”

He advised unemployed youth to acquire some skills saying, “At worst, it will afford them a living which is most important for growth enhancemen­t.”
