PDP group tasks Jerry Gana’s c’ttee on 2019
The PDP Loyal Group 100% has called on the strategy review and interparty affairs committee, under the chairmanship of Professor Jerry Gana, to ensure that at the end of its work, the party should emerged well repositioned for success in the 2019 election.
In a statement signed by its national director on strategy and political mobilization, Nsah Eric Tank, and issued to newsmen in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, the group said it has undertaken a survey across the country and discovered that rural dwellers still believed in the PDP and easily identified the umbrella logo of the party.
The statement also said that they have studied the chairmen of the party in all the 36 state of the federation and discovered that many of them were trying their efforts in repositioning the party for victory in 2019.
The group, however, singled out the efforts of the Taraba State PDP chairman, Dr. Victor Bala Kona (North), and his Akwa Ibom State counterpart (South), Obong Paul Ekpo as worthy of emulation.
“The Professor Gana committee is doing the right job to reposition all states and zonal offices in readiness for sure victory in 2019. We have concluded arrangement to give our full support to the committee,” the group said.
“So, those advocating for a change of the party’s name and logo would be causing more harm than good,” Tank said.
