FCT residents tasked on relaxation

- By Abbas Jimoh

Residents of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have been urged to find time to relax with families especially at weekends to improve their health and strengthen their family bond.

A spokesman of the INTI’s Royal Suite Garki FCT, Obiora Orji gave the advice yesterday in Abuja.

He said the popular saying that ‘all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy’ is manifesting in the health conditions of the city’s residents as many are being treated for exhaustion and other ailments that could have been overcome if they had taken some time off to relax.

He added that it was in consideration for the wellbeing of residents and visitors that led to the establishment of the INTI Royal Suite Garki Abuja for family members to take time off their schedules to relax and resume their work with renewed vigour.

“This ambitious effort in the hospitality industry will not only add to the top brands of hotel and tourism landscape in Abuja but close major gaps in the Garki area of the city with very high standards.

“INTI Suites is apparently undeterred by the economic recession and trajectory of the nation’s mono-economic challenges.

“Many residents are being treated for common ailments like malaria and fatigue among others. These are malaise that could have been cured with rest and relaxation without one been admitted in the hospitals.

“A fraction of what is being spent at the hospitals is required for relaxation which would give better value,” Orji said.

He stated that though the suite has commenced operation, it would be formally commissioned in a few days.
