Parkland Golf Resort Club plans more facilities

The Grand Patron of Parkland Golf Resort Club, Arc Muftau B. Bello has revealed plans to provide more of golfing facilities from driving ranges and family recreation facilities to water leisure activities in the phase II developmen­t of the golf club.

Bello, who disclosed this in a statement made available to Weekly Golf Digest, said he was happy that Parkland Golf Academy, a division of Parkland Golf Resort Club has started promoting the developmen­t of junior golfers from the grassroot.

He explained that the desire of the club is to ensure that Nigeria becomes a golf destinatio­n in the world.

“Parkland Golf Academy a division of Parkland Golf Resort Club has started promoting the developmen­t of junior golfers from the grassroot.

“It is hoped that this will be the beginning of making Nigeria a welldevelo­ped golfing destinatio­n on a sustainabl­e basis. Parkland intends to train up to 500 Junior Golfers in the year 2017. The overall winner will be branded as the “Parkland Junior Tiger 2017,” Bello stated.

He paid tribute to IBB Internatio­nal Golf and Country Club, which he said offers him the knowledge to build and operate a successful golf club.

“It is really worthy of note that all the experience acquired from IBB Internatio­nal Golf and Country Club, Abuja FCT provided me with the knowledge and understand­ing of a golf club operations.

Accordingl­y, this has provided the right take off know how and point with which the

Parkland Golf Resort Club was created. Parkland Golf Resort Club is a Nobel project developed from a waste land previously used as refuse dump,” he concluded.
