Defending champions Enugu Rangers managed a slim 1-0 victory over hard fighting ABS of Ilorin when former Enyimba man, Daniel Etor scored their only goal just as Anthony Okemiri’s solitary goal was enough to give Abia Warriors 1-0 victory over Niger Tornadoes in Umuahia.

Although Mustapha Aliko saved Godwin Zaki penalty kick in the 16th minute, Abia Warriors held tight to their lone goal to win after back to back defeats.

In Gombe, Coach Manu Garba’s men defeated FC IfeanyiUbah 2-0 with goals from Austin Oladapo and Samuel Agba who scored in each half of the match.
