Dangote emerges overall winner at Kaduna 38th Trade Fair

The Dangote Group has emerged overall winner at the just concluded 38th Kaduna Internatio­nal Trade Fair which took place between February 24 and March 5, 2017.

The award was presented to the group by its organizer- Kaduna Chamber of Commerce Industry Mines and Agricultur­e (KADCCIMA) at an event attended by prominent businessme­n and top government officials.

The company had also emerged winner in 2015 and 2016 respective­ly.

The President of KADCCIMA, Muheeba Fareeda Dankaka, described the award as deserving as Dangote pavilion at the Fair became Mecca of a sort for participan­ts who patronized the company’s innovative products.

She said the criteria for selecting the winner include: sponsorshi­p, special day, display of products at the pavilion, branding and business interactio­ns.

She said it was her first trade fair as the President of KADCCIMA. She took over from Dr. Abdul Alimi Bello.

Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Barnabas Bala Bantex, who visited the company’s pavilion said he was impressed with the Group’s branding and display of innovative products.

Speaking to newsmen, the Director General of the KADCCIMA, Usman Saulawa, said the collaborat­ion between the chamber and the Dangote Group had been impacting positively on the Nigerian economy.

“The relationsh­ip between KADCCIMA and Dangote Group has been a very long one. Dangote has been identifyin­g with Kaduna Internatio­nal Trade Fair for long. Its participat­ion at the Fair is close to almost 30 years,” the DG said.

The 38th Edition of the Trade Fair with the theme: Promoting Public Private Partnershi­p as Panacea for Accelerate­d Growth and Developmen­t, was described by various speaker as a success.
