Dangote emerges overall winner at Kaduna 38th Trade Fair
The Dangote Group has emerged overall winner at the just concluded 38th Kaduna International Trade Fair which took place between February 24 and March 5, 2017.
The award was presented to the group by its organizer- Kaduna Chamber of Commerce Industry Mines and Agriculture (KADCCIMA) at an event attended by prominent businessmen and top government officials.
The company had also emerged winner in 2015 and 2016 respectively.
The President of KADCCIMA, Muheeba Fareeda Dankaka, described the award as deserving as Dangote pavilion at the Fair became Mecca of a sort for participants who patronized the company’s innovative products.
She said the criteria for selecting the winner include: sponsorship, special day, display of products at the pavilion, branding and business interactions.
She said it was her first trade fair as the President of KADCCIMA. She took over from Dr. Abdul Alimi Bello.
Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Barnabas Bala Bantex, who visited the company’s pavilion said he was impressed with the Group’s branding and display of innovative products.
Speaking to newsmen, the Director General of the KADCCIMA, Usman Saulawa, said the collaboration between the chamber and the Dangote Group had been impacting positively on the Nigerian economy.
“The relationship between KADCCIMA and Dangote Group has been a very long one. Dangote has been identifying with Kaduna International Trade Fair for long. Its participation at the Fair is close to almost 30 years,” the DG said.
The 38th Edition of the Trade Fair with the theme: Promoting Public Private Partnership as Panacea for Accelerated Growth and Development, was described by various speaker as a success.
