Group lauds Tincan Island Customs on revenue target

The Director General of Think Nigeria First Initiative (TNIF), Ambassador Abubakar Tsanni has lauded the Nigeria Customs Service, Tin Can Island Command for generating N1 billion revenue daily since the beginning of March 2017.

Amb. Tsanni said such success was extraordin­ary and could only be achieved a diligent leadership of the Area Controller, Yusuf Bashar.

He tasked the Area Controller to sustain the revenue drive, saying that if such feat can be sustained, the command can meet its monthly target of N25.4 billion and yearly target of N303 billion respectful­ly.

In another developmen­t Amb. Tsanni welcomed back President Muhammadu Buhari from his medical trip abroad saying it is a good news to the great people of Nigeria.

Amb. Tsanni while welcoming the president, prayed God to grant him total healing, saying Buhari’s return has rekindle the hope for a better change in Nigeria.

He therefore, called on every citizens irrespecti­ve of religious or ethnic background to join in praying for the total recovery of the President, peace and developmen­t of the entire country.

The TNFI’s boss said that President Buhari’s anti-corruption drive is yielding positive result as the federal government has continue to recover huge sums of money from treasury looters, also commended the Nigerian military for decimating Boko haram and other form of militancy in the country.
