American Business Council applauds FG’s growth plan

The American Business Council (ABC) has commended the Federal Government on the new national economic growth blueprint, the Economic Recovery and Growth Plan (ERGP), which was launched recently by President Muhammadu Buhari.

The council, which promotes NigeriaAmerica economic partnerships, while endorsing the plan, described the objectives and strategies as commendable, saying it would restore growth through macroeconomic stability and diversification the economy.

A statement signed by the spokesperson for the body, Sola Solotan, quoted the ABC president, Dr. Lazarus Angbazo, as saying the economic blueprint was also focused on investing in people through enhanced social of inclusion, improved human capital and job creation and building a globally competitive economy through increased investment in infrastructure, improved business climate and the promotion of digital-led growth.

Angbazo further said the desired economic recovery and growth could not be attained by the government alone as it required partnership and accountability by both government and the private sector.
